The final check-out was confusing. It asked for me to check my address, but then when I continued it said that information may not be saved, I went back to see if I had done something wrong but it did the same thing. So I just risked it and pressed continue.

I have been a customer of Monterey Bay Herb Co. For several years and have never had a problem. However, the valerian I ordered is not good quality. It has a rancid, vinegar-like smell instead of the usual "dirty sock" smell and I am unable to use it. There aren't any refunds allowed so there is no point in contacting them. Like I said, I have never had a problem before and the prices are excellent but I have had to re-order valerian from another company to replace the one I received from Monterey Bay. I will most likely still order from them in the future.

When I filled my cart then had to reset password, my cart got emptied, and I ended up having to fill it all over again, and I had already filled it twice because it somehow got emptied before, possibly because of a time-out... saving contents of shopping carts between logins will boost your sales!

Purchased pink roses specifically for the visual it would add to my product. Monterey Bay Herb Co. came a muted (rather faded) brown. Useless. The offered to accept the return (at my shipping expense). That is a flipping joke because the shipping is more that the cost of the product.
Their products are usually good but the shipping is absurd. I accept it due to my business but there are now very competent competitors with similar costs and more reasonable shipping (in the same state).
Take care and i will buy when I must - but otherwise - I'm good.

It was all really great until I realized I had transposed some digits on my phone number and had no way to change them. I couldn't find a way to edit the final address and phone info, so you have my cell as *******141 but it is actually *******414. But the actual ordering was easy. You have so much to chose from, which is wonderful! It would be a 5 star if I could have edited my phone number.

I've been pushed to do so many surveys lately that I've been refusing to submit any. But for Monterey Bay Herb Co I will make an exception... Whether it's herbs or spices, (even unusual ones) Monterey Bay always has everything I need! I've ordered from this company 5 or 6 times now and it's been a great experience every time!

I like that it is easy to modify the cart to remove an item or add amount. Also to open multiple windows and the cart contents are not lost.

I enjoy the shopping experience - for the most part. One of the issues I have is that there are a few items that are out of stock, indefinitely, that are still kept up on the store (ex: blueberry leaves). I also do not like that I cannot edit my cart while on another page - I need to click on the cart then click on 'edit' for it to then load a new page. Not as seemless as it could be!

I really do like the clean herbs, spice, blends from Monterey Bay Spice Company,
However, discontinued or unavailable products increase the cost relative to UPS shipping to Canada.
When the products become available and I place the order for these products, I am paying custom costs and UPS costs again.

Love your products and the descriptions are very insightful and helpful. The cart process is a little clunky when using the site on my phone. But other than that everything is awesome, been going to you for over 10 years and referred friends and family many times. Thank you!

The site was very easy to navigate. I was able to find what I was looking for and at a great price. Shipping is a little pricey but if the product is as good as it looks it will be worth it! I'm a first time buyer by the way and did not receive my 15% off on my first order.

Good price buying bulk is the way to go I've shaped around and there prices are easily half of anywhere I've seen the only thing is that you should stock up to offset the shipping cost because it's the same if you order 1 pound or 5 pounds

I was able to find and select the products I wanted easily on the order site. I enjoyed having notes about the herbs to read along the way. I would love to see more inspirations of treats/tea blends or recipes added to the site like the "MUKHWA"... I was so curious about that I've gone searching for a recipe! Thanks.

Overall an easy, accurate ordering experience. However, I am concerned about promoting Chondracanthus chamissoi from Peru as Chondrus crispus from colder, northern coastlines. In today's global market, replacing one red alga with another, totally different genus / species is disingenuous.

I had to submit my cart not once, but three times as it dropped my cart when I signed in and before. A few herbs had issues at the cart icon - ho-shu-woo's top icon showed up as Cinnamon. Another item did not give me the options to click to buy & did not show cart icon, detail information, etc. Biggest frustation was creating my largest order and losing it over and over.

Overall the Lay out is great but there were some issues with some of the pages not loading. Along with the checkout page. I couldn't get it to load any pages without waiting a minute or 2. I hope you guys carry a larger selection of essential oils as well. I buy tons for my business and since I found your Company I would probably stop using other companies if you carried all the ones I needed. So I still have to shop with the other company.

I wish I read these reviews before I placed my order. I too right after ordering needed to change something and Monterey Bay Herb Co. completely refused. Horrible company to work with. Find another company to buy from. There are many other businesses that are willing to work with you on fixing your order. Even if I refuse the shipment at the door, it cost me double shipping. Chalk it up to a lesson learned. Read reviews on a company before you do business with them. If I could I would give them 0 stars. Customer service people. Your losing out on repeat customers.

Shipping used to be much cheaper, non organics used to be a fraction of this price, pay pal was terrible to use with you- not other vendors, took a few days to complete. I have used I herb, formerly monterey bay spice co for many man years now, but service seems to be sliding off a cliff. I need to look to other suppliers, a pity as Monterey Bay was one of my favorite sources of botanicals for 2 decades.

I have 3-4 orders over the last 2-3 years with Monterey Bay Spice Company, AKA Herbco.
This is one of the best companies I have ever ordered from.
Their products are of the highest quality and packed in a superior way as to maintain freshness.
Their variety of products offered is amazing. The people are good to deal with, no nonsense and VERY efficient.
I always get my order on time and very quickly and am always pleased with the products.

This shopping experience has been miserable. I've had an account with you for several years. Nothing has changed at my end yet every entry I've made has been disputed by your site. It's a back and forth nightmare of logging back in after being dumped out and it's been going on for about an hour. All for my small regular order of mulling spices.

The prices are becoming outrageous but I like how Monterey Bay Herb Co. compensate for that with free shipping & the discount. I am honestly most appreciative of that. Also, the selection is very limited (not enough herbs in stock). But overall, the website is very easy to manage and most importantly, the herbs are fresh, packaged well, and were created with love. I trust these herbs to give to my family as well as my clients. I feel good about that at the end of the day & that's also why I recommend this website.

I love the products, but I had a 2 day devil of a time ordering. First it was my login, which continued over the last of the day before and most of my time this evening. I had to leave the PC for a little bit, and when I returned my entire order over which I had labored had disappeared. I had to scour the site 4 times due to lost input not retained. It is a good thing I only do this once every 18-24 months.

First of all, my password did not work. Then I couldn't check out with paypal with my email. No one answered your phone. Finally got someone on the phone who couldn't find my email. Next time I have this much trouble with process, I'll go elsewhere.

I ordered a few different herbs. I have been getting oatstraw and red clover at my local co-op, which are very good quality. Since I am using so much, I decided to order a larger amount from Monterey Bay Spice to save money. The oatstraw has a old musty taste to it, compared to a sweet oaty flavor from the co-op and the red clover is brown and bitter compared to green and fresher taste from our coop. I will not be ordering from them again.

I have ordered your products before and am returning because of the quality. We use herbs at home, mostly for teas. Additionally, my order will be used as a great gift as well as a delicious and healthy option for me to sip on at home in the winter evenings.

Your site gave several unexplained error messages about my address. This was in spite of the address being correct. It happened several times. This was not helpful. I nearly cancelled the attempt to order but gave it one last try. Online orders need to be slick. If it happens again, I will choose to go elsewhere. Your competition lacks this irritating feature. Do not contact me.

As I was trying to finalize my order, items were dropping of as unavailable. I wish once it was in my cart, it was held for me to finish my order. Or at least a notification that the item was removed as unavailable. Otherwise I think I'm getting what I put in my cart unless I scrutinize it carefullyl Now I will have to reorder that item or two and pay shipping again. :(

The tea is good, be nice if my shipping cost could actually get me fed ex or ups so I can have tea shipped directly to my home. One would think that paying that much for shipping would actually get me proper delivery service. Pretty shady price for usps...

I was looking for 1 herb that you don't carry. Surprised at some of the odd ones you do. Triphala. If you happen to stock it in the future please let me know. Thank you. Really reasonable prices, except the shipping, OUCH. But that isn't something that you can control.

Prices are far higher for some basic items and the same quality can be found elsewhere for less. Many items are discontinued or unavailable. We miss the old Monterey. Why do you even have Gold Rush listed? You're never getting it back. But that's okay. I figured out the formulation and have another company blending for me in large bulk.
