After dealing with some shady business from Back water getting three DOA Frogs in a row I decided to try Joshes frogs Josh's frogs showed up right on time the packaging was excellent they hopped right out and started eating crickets they definitely got my business

Bait and Switch Tactics
I recently ordered a dart frog kit including the tropical plants, terrarium, substrate etc. I specifically paid extra for the order to ship UPS - 2 business day shipping. After getting the plants and substrate on the second day I realized my Terrarium these were ordered with that would house these plants was not there. After checking with Joshs Frogs I realized the Terrarium was shipping Fedex, was shipped seperately and has still not arrived after 4 business days. We are now at the end of the day on a Friday when this was ordered last weekend and I have $300 of plants sitting in a box with no terrarium to plant them in for who knows how long. Not only did I pay extra for specific shipping that was not followed or even on the advertised carrier but now I am potentially out of $300 from dead plants. Josh's frogs used blatant bait and switch tactics on the shipping also and by also stating this was a kit shipping as a single order. I would not have purchased this order knowing all of this now.

Horrible customer service!
Ordered some fly culturing supplies I needed rather promptly. Bulk pricing was $30 less but showed out of stock but Josh's frogs still had single small bags in stock which is the same thing as the bulk media just multiple bags, so I ordered the same amount as in the bulk pack thinking they would easily honor the bulk price. Way wrong. First they couldn't even grasp the concept that the bulk priced item was just multiple smaller bags sold together at a discount. Then to make matters worse what was supposed to arrive in 2 days is now going on 2 weeks undelivered, which they stated was due to flooding? Michigan didn't flood from the hurricane! I had to order from a different company in the meantime while eating $150 from an order that may never arrive. They refuse to refund me until the package comes back to them? The package hasn't moved from Michigan since drop off so... Finally filed a paypal dispute. I will be sending the box right back if it ever arrives and never dealing with them again nor will I recommend them to anyone else. Lost all respect for a company I once loved. Going bigger is definitely not better.

1st Time Buyer!
I am absolutely impressed at the way I received my 500 crickets1000 mealworms Josh's frogs are wonderful it's crazy they were shipped the end of August I received them on September 5 there was maybe 7-8 crickets that were dead mealworms was great I was totally shocked! I will definitely be ordering again this is my new favorite spot!

Don't order crickets 2 different sizes.
I ordered 2 different size crickets, one size was for my baby tree frog and the others were for my juvenile red eyed tree frogs. I received my crickets in the 2 days I paid for shipping, only problem was. Josh's frogs put the 2 quite different sized crickets all together! Not in separate containers! Customer service wanted pictures, which I sent. Then they email me asking if I wanted replacement crickets then I'd have to pay for overnight since the weather where I am was "too hot" for 2 day. I emailed back to just ship when "my weather" allowed for it. I was told, they would ship me new ones, but unfortunately they were out of stock, and they'd issue a refund... not ordering from them again!

Josh's frogs gave good shipping on time our frogs lasted long and there helpful on everything u need to know about frogs

Went from customer satisfaction to profit margin
This place use to be a very intimate shop that catered to customers, helped them through issues, and stood by their products. It seems that $$ has taken priority over the customer experience. Recently bought plants and despite having through dialog with many reps over there, once its in your hands, Josh's frogs wash their hands of the transaction. Its sad to see a establishment go from backing their customers, to the bottom dollar. Even after countless emails, conversations, and overly preparing on my side, if the plants die from good or bad advice from them, its your responsibility.
These views are my own, based on my experience with my own purchases with this company. These are my opinions based on my own interactions and transactions with this establishment, as such, they are just that, my own personal opinions.

Great packaging, my frog arrived safe and well
I ordered a male dumpy tree frog, he came overnight as stated. He is perfect, the packaging is great and he seems completely healthy and fine, I've had him for 6 hours now and he's just been chillin, happy to have him! Great company :)

Think about total
I rescued 200 green tree frogs so I needed food. I found them and ordered. Every order came either all dead or half or better dead. So after EVERY order Josh's frogs did ho or replacement but I had to go and over pay for crickets local. I usually 2 day or faster shipments to make sure they came fast. Nothing mattered they came dead. One attempt took 3 or 4 times before I got them alive. My last order was 60.00 plus and I overnighted... Over 50% still arrived dead. My credit was 25.00 AND I HAD TO GO TO PETSMART AND BUY CRICKETS AGAIN COSTING ME 40.00 SO... DO THE MATH! I QUIT... I was patient but if i am gona throw money away i dont have i would rather burn it then give them any more of my time or money. You decide for yourself.
