Lucy Whinnett James at Copart made my experience great. I had a couple of issues at Bristol but she sorted it all out and always rang / emailed me! I will use Copart again purely because she redeemed the company. She’s an asset to copart. Thank you Lucy.

I bought a 2012 Kia optima hybrid from Copart through auto bid master. I Bought a vehicle history report on their website and it cleared the car from any mechanical problems. They listed the car with no problems except dents and scratches on their website and no mention whatsoever of any mechanical problems. I received the car with a seized engine, stolen batteries, and a fake key. The mechanic told me that Kia does not carry this engine anymore, and if it does it would cost more than $15000.
I received it showing that it has no key written on the driver's window with a marker. Mind you, they did not show an image of the driver's window with the car images they listed on their website. And in the description, they said the car had a key while in fact, it did not. They programmed a fake key for this car and sent it along with the car.
And now I am stuck with a locked car on my driveway because the key's programming is not working anymore.
I can't believe that I was hit hard by a scam like this in my own country.
Don't ever deal with those companies if you value your hard-earned money.
My problem with Copart is you can't even start the vehicles or hear them run. You take their word that they started them. How do I know they are not knocking? The second problem with Copart is their enhanced vehicles. If you see the word enhanced you better run because they have done everything they can to get a better price. They hide everything they can! those are the biggest rip off I've ever seen.
All the bad reviews that I have read are from people that have absolutely no idea how the process works. You must be hands on meaning it's your responsibility to view the car and make sure it's something you will be comfortable purchasing. Great service! If you dont know what your doing...please stay away! It's not something that provides a mystical service for you to purchase a vehicle way below retail. These are totalled insurance cars that are going to need WAY more work then a picture will tell you!
All our cars fromTlusa copart, good deal, good experience, we are family of six,we buy cars from copart only.
buyer be ware
copart is selling stollen vehicles and they wash their hands from it
Both the registration and bidding process are horribly difficult and time consuming. When you spend hours getting past that you still can't bid on most cars unless you're a dealer. Don't waste your time and money, find someone else to buy through.
I use many auctions and by far this is the worst. Here is why. You can bid up to a million dollars against yourself. Every auction has a stop when you are the highest in a lIVE auction. This is the worst glitch and a scam by a company. I would never use them again
I would not recommend, not for buying vehicles or other various items, but in the since that now they charge a fee to be a member. I used to be a member and able to bid on vehicle's, till I lost my password. Tried to recover and was told "Your account get recycled after 120 days of inactivity", that is my fault and understandable! I try to create a new account and now they charge a membership fee. Never had before!
I found it east to use.My car was delivered very quickly 2 days after I paid. The drive was friendly and the lady I talked to in the office was very helpful and friendly. She answered all my questions.
They don’t post there fees and they are the biggest ripoff compared to other auctions. I will never buy another thing from them.
Excellent place to save money and buy vehicles u have to look at pics and read everything clearly on description have bout four since been customer with Copart in a year and have had good luck on each one even one that said was a no run or drive runs and drives great workers in office and loader as well have had excellent experiences with them will continue to be a customer fees are higher then some but understandable thank u Copart
Copart is a bully because they can be. They hold a large portion of the insurance/salvage car market in the U.S. They unapologetically gouge their customers with fees waaaaayyy higher than industry standard. The fees go up consistently and those that depend on them to make a living are forced to comply. They take no responsibility for inaccurate listings and damage done to vehicles while in their possession. There is almost zero quality control. Customer service is hit or miss depending on location. Copart generates unhappy customers, which generates unhappy employees. The process of paying for and picking up/transporting the vehicle you purchase is unnecessarily complicated and difficult. The app is glitchy. I can go on and on.
I got a great deal on a motorcycle that would have been triple the price if it not for being a insurance sale. Please read all of the information before you decided to become a member and bid on the vehicles, some states don’t allow non broker bidding, so you have to pay for a broker as well as bidding fees. So that being said do your research and be sure you understand what you are getting into. I won a Very nice CVO Harley that only needed some work to get it on the road.
I BUY SALVAGE OFTEN. HAVE DONE THIS FOR ABOUT 50 YEARS OR MORE. TODAY I LOST $600.00. PAID $600.00 TO COPART LUMBERTON NC AND GOT NOTHING. THE CAR THAT I WAS HIGH BIDDER ON WAS SOLD TO SOMEONE ELSE. LOT MANAGER WILL NOT TALK TO ME, NEAL BULLARD, FAYETTEVILLE NC
Found a Mercedes SUV I wanted to bid on at their Eugene, Oregon location. I paid the $59 membership fee and attempted to bid on the vehicle. The system told me I was ineligible to bid. I used the online chat to resolve this. The representative was helpful and explained since I was new, I would have to wait 24 hours for my account to be verified. I was fine with that and surprised that less than an hour later, I was eligible to bid. Now that I'm "eligible" to bid on the Mercedes I wanted, I was then told that I could NOT bid on it because I am not a dealer or business? Why can't Copart be upfront/honest about this BEFORE taking my $59 membership fee and making me waste HOURS out of my day for nothing! Now, I have to waste ANOTHER 5-7 days hoping I get my membership payment refunded- Thankfully, I took photos of my refund request in case they try to be more deceptive.....

STAY AWAY
Car Said RUN AND DRIVE
Car was delivered to me with a front suspension broken and won't move at all
Contacted them to solve the issue
they said it's not their fault
If one would stand up and talk like a man for them but they are punch of Cowboys.
I made a good deal on the last pickup I bought but your fees are too high for cheaper items. I don't bid ,fees are more than the item is worth. Fred
I sign up and payed the subscription fee so i can bid in a vehicle that ends today but i wasn't allowed because it needs up to 2 days to verify my account. On their site it says that you can register in 60sec,pay, upload the document and you can bid which is completely misleading.I contacted them and they said they don't do refund even though i haven't used their service and it was completely misleading from their side.
My insurance company had my car moved to copart and when I went to retrieve the items from my vehicle. I was missing 3 pairs of rayban sunglasses and the change from my vehicle among a few other items. I would not recommend them to anyone else!
