Description: Chilton is a family-owned, Maine company dedicated to selling fine, wood furniture, all American-made. We are known for our Shaker-inspired designs, and also feature Arts & Crafts, modern and cottage style pieces in solid cherry, maple, ash, walnut, and quarter-sawn oak. We are also known for the quality craftsmanship of our custom work. Many of our pieces can be custom built to your specifications.
Much of our furniture is handcrafted in small Maine workshops, and we also work with boutique craftsmen in New Hampshire, Vermont and the Midwest, many of whom have been partners for decades. All of these cabinetmakers have a Shaker-like dedication to workmanship, function, and simplicity of line and form. All of Chilton’s pieces are built to our high standards, and a growing number are original, proprietary designs.

The Shaker bookshelves are solid, attractive and well-made.
There was a mix up in what I ordered and the piece of furniture was delivered before I realized it. When I called everyone was responsive and respectful. Zac in service was, however, a real stand out. He put a lot of time and effort into finding the right replacement, making sure I was satisfied with it, and then making the switch. And I live over 6hrs from the store. I was very impressed by him and the quality of employees at Chilton.
My wife and I have made multiple purchases from Chilton Furniture. Their products are of the highest quality and with proper care will last for generations. In the unlikely event there's a problem with an item, Chilton stands behind it and will remedy the issue. Their staff is courteous, knowledgeable and always responds honestly to questions. If you're looking for really good furniture Chilton's is a must stop.

Your furniture ia amazing! It is gorgeous and so well made. I knew I wanted it as soon as I saw your catalogue. Could you tell me what wood we have? I may want to order a table to go beside a chair in our bedroom.
Your delivery guy from Poland was the nicest guy as well. He let us know when he would arrive twice and was on time. After he left us he still had a four hour drive to the Bay area. Then he was due at the next person's home at seven in the morning. He must have gotten four or five hours sleep that night. BTW the furniture arrived ahead of tme.
