I placed an order on June 29th for 2 bottles of liquor, I did read on the site that it was possible to not get confirmation initially because the orders would be coming from individual locations, which did make me a little nervous. I received the first email saying 1 bottle would be delivered but could not get anymore information other than it was in CA, the expected delivery date was July 25 and a signature was required which meant I had to be home. It did not come. I got a new email the next day saying it was in my town but again meant I couldn't go anywhere because it required a signature, so 2 days of not being able to leave the house until I sign for a package. Now we are almost at the 30 day mark and I have heard nothing about my second bottle so I finally email the company and just ask for a refund because I don't want to have to deal with this again and delivery of anything should not take 30 days! And magically they find it and I get the email saying my order is finally being processed. It's a great concept being able to access hard to find liquor but extremely poorly executed. I won't be using this site again.
I was informed after my order had been accepted and my credit card charged that it could not be fulfilled. Not great but not the issue is what happened next. Instead of a refund (or at least the offer of one) I was basically given the option to pay more, wait for an indefinite period of time or a store credit. I ended up paying more —I wanted the item and to end this relationship. As the saying goes fool me once…
If I could give them 0 stars I would. My order took forever and I wanted it for July 4. I kept having to email them to ask where is it? When will it ship? Then after July 4 came and went I asked them to cancel the order which still had not shipped and they refused. How do you tell a customer that you can't cancel an order that hasn't even shipped yet and wasn't going to ship for at least 5 more days!!!
Terrible disconnected service. Delivery information should be a plentiful as the vast number of advertisement emails I receive from you. What a disappointment. I ordered my product from you 8 days before I ordered from an alternative company. I have already received the product from alternative company while still awaiting yours. The length of time would have been okay, but you provided little information on status. Additionally, your electronic interface and lack of follow up never really gives one confidence that the order was placed with a legitimate organization. Now you are asking me for a review almost two weeks later and I still have not received the product. You guys are a joke.
Worst online experience of my life.
You sold me a bottle of Hillrock Solera aged for $235. I thought it was something special because you are a high quality site.
Instead you ripped me off, Hillrock Solera aged sells for $109.. your representative, Michelle, explained that you are not responsible for the price, it is the retailer. It is your website and you should not allow your customers to be ripped off. You should have software that prevents that.
Your company assumed no responsibility.
It is hard for me to understand.

Extremely disappointed with this company. They did not have what I ordered and offered me a substitute bottle which was of lesser value. I declined the substitute and requested a refund. They still sent me the substitute bottle and no refund. Now I have to send them the bottle I do not want back before I get my refund. I will never use this company again and I wish there was an option to give them 0 stars.
I received my order today after nearly three weeks. Shipping was not inexpensive and added nearly 50% cost to my order. Shipped via FEDEX so I expected better delivery service. My delivery sat in FEDEX hub 20 miles away from destination. When I phoned them yesterday, they said sorry but even though you paid 25 for shipping, we are backed up. So for now, not a fan of expensive, slow shipping. Bottle was packed well , no issues there.
This company takes your money and runs!! Sells products during Christmas that are not what is pictured and then claims they are the third party and can do nothing about it. No refund took my 420.00 .. went to credit card company and they the card company said they are smooth operators .. even though it was a not what was shown it was delivered and no refunds accepted. Oh yes they charge you extra for special delivery and it comes FedEx and they leave outside the gate. Liars!! Buyer BEWARE!!
I had a terrible experience with CaskCartel. My order took 28 days to arrive and then only half the order was shipped, I am still waiting for the other half of the order. After advertising that one of my selections was in stock and available it was not shipped. I called after 14 business days and was told my order was on hold because of inventory. The website clearly says CaskCartel will not delay or cancel orders like other websites. Not true.
I recently found CaskCartel.com and placed an order. I didn't know how long it would take to get my product since there was no shipping date identified at checkout. Timing for me was very important. I wrote CaskCartel to ask when I would receive my order and told them of my timing constraints. Christine and Em were very helpful. Together, they responded quickly with their actions and results. The product was delivered within the time they stated with great care. They exceeded my expectations. Thank you!
Site was easy to use, I found what I was looking for quickly, and the ordering process was simple.
Shipping in the other hand even with current conditions seems excessive. I ordered 2 bottles of domestic whiskey on 6/10, I “suppose” to get it tomorrow. I get staffing and shipping are problems for everyone, but 13 days was not what my expectations were set for. Not even close. It was suppose to be here last Thursday.. the even I ordered for… was last weekend.
If you need to order something.. suggest you give yourself 3 weeks at least.
It took 2 weeks past the estimated ship date to send my bottle of mezcal that I needed for a specific event. When it was clear the bottle wouldn't arrive in time, Cask Cartel refused to give me a refund, but insisted on sending the bottle since it was in the Terms and Conditions that they could do so, even though they knew it was so incredibly late and no longer needed.
I finally received the bottle, against my will, and I don't know what I'll do with it. Burned money that I can't be reimbursed for at this point.
Really a shame I couldn't just get a refund due to missing their promised shipping date.
Overall it was a good experience, I was able to get a whiskey that is not available through local retailers, and I received it within two weeks of my order. Areas for improvement would be live tracking updates. The link provided only showed that it had been shipped. Since a signature was required for delivery, I had no idea of how to plan when the shipment would arrive so I could sign for it, because there was no live tracking updates. I happened to be home this morning when it was delivered, so it worked out, but live tracking would be imperative if I placed another online order using this method.
I wanted to send my brother a gift for fathers day. I placed my order 12 days prior, thinking that would be plenty of time to get it delivered. It's now been 2 full weeks and the item still hasn't arrived. They took my money as soon as the order was placed, but haven't fulfilled the order yet. I have contacted them multiple times with a request to tell me what the problem is, nothing. This is a poorly run business, very little accountability and seemingly no ability to locate a persons order or address a customers requests for information. Go somewhere else with your business. CaskCartel will only disappoint.
Ordered on sun. and it arrived by the following sat. The shipping was pricey but well worth it given how my bottles were protected. That box could’ve fell down the stairs and been completely ok. I probably won’t add the free gift next time. The 1 mini bottle doesn’t quite add the value for the extra shipping cost. Overall very happen with my order of Von Payne! Will definitely order again!!
I bought Macallan 12 Year Old Double Cask Gift Tin Single Malt Scotch and it was more than what you would pay for 12 year old bottle! They’re over priced but figured for the time to add to my collection however when I received it, there was just a regular macallan box.. I contacted them and their reasoning is as followed:
I have taken a look into this for you, and since it is only the bottle presentation/ packaging that differs from the product description and the following disclaimer is included below the product image on the listing, I would unfortunately, not be able to offer an exchange at this time:
"*This image represents the intended product however, bottle designs, artwork, packaging and current batch release or proof may be updated from the producer without notice."
So because of this so called disclaimer, they wash their hands of any responsibility!! UNACCEPTABLE!!!
Never again will I buy from them again!!! There are better places online and cheaper!!!
The order of Melleti chocolate liqueur has not been delivered yet. Please inform when I can expect it.
The order of Dorda double chocolate liqueur is unacceptable. I opened 1 bottle and there was a couple inches of dried out liqueur at the top, which I had to use a long tool to dislodge. After I did this, it was apparent there was liquid beneath so I shook the bottle vigorously. The result is a nice liqueur with chunks init. I can only assume it is way out of date and has dried out. I have not unpacked the other 2 bottles but assume they are bad also. For the price paid, a high quality order should have been sent. Please refund or send new.
I will absolutely not order again. In April I ordered an item presale that was supposed to ship mid May. Because I ordered, my inbox and Facebook were plastered with ads to order for father's day delivery . Today I finally got confirmation that my order shipped and it might be here the Tuesday after father's day. As of now, tracking says a label has been created. Who knows when it will actually be handed off to the carrier. If it ever does show up I'll be blocking all further emails and Facebook posts.
after the purchase went through, your company calls me and offers me 3 solutions to move forward with my order. #1. pay more money, #2 wait a while for the order, not date determined, or #3 which is credit for another selection . should of been of 4th option, that offers my money back. im sure i could of found it on the web. kinda feel like a bait and switch here... of course i paid the additional $119 dollars, because i wanted what i selected, that is why i chose it. really a messed up way to do business.
I had trouble with the website not accepting the promo code for the Ron Diplomatico free-shipping special offer, but with Michelle and Christine's assistance, the tech department got the problem fixed! Many thanks to those two awesome people! They were knowledgeable, helpful, friendly, and responsive and made sure I got my order submitted without issue. Five huge stars for Cask Cartel's service team!
