This is not a car rental company. It is a front to defraud you. They promise a very good deal, indicate that you will get the car via a reputable company such as Hertz, Eurocar, etc. as they claim to be a broker and can provide a discount due to their business volume. Once you sense something is wrong because you paid them a deposit or full amount and you contact your bank or credit card company to block the payment, they send you an e-mail that the car will be at the requested location at the requested time. Following that, they will e-mail you to say sorry the car is not available and they are refunding your money. There is no way to contact them at this point, e-mail or phone. They tell your bank or credit card company that you either got the car or you didn't show. They kept trying for 3 weeks indicating this to my bank. The bank reversed the charges eventually and indicated they are some crime syndicate in Europe.

booked & paid in full only to recieve email stating no car of choice available, this is AFTER they have taken your money, try getting hold of them either via email or a phone number(like the cars not available).so now im waiting for a refund of £1800 . have contacted trading standards and my credit card so people

It's not reliable.
We rented a car (27/june) in Romania and in the contract with carjet they stated that an amount of approximately 1,000 euros would be BLOCKED on the credit card. The company responsible for renting the vehicle wanted to CHARGE the amount. We contacted Carjet ar the same data and chose to cancel the rental due to differences between the contracted service and the service actually offered. We had confirmation that the cancellation had been made and we would have a full refund for services not provided. The only refund we had was for insurance, but none related to the car.
We tried several contacts by email and by phone, but we could not get through the callcenter and emails never were answered (till 06/07)
It's very easy and cheap to hire, but the after sales service is horrible. I do not recommend.

I do not recommend renting from CarJet.com. At the time of booking I was charged the full amount including insurance, and when I picked up the car I was told that the insurance is not valid. I tried to contact the CarJet representatives, but it was impossible on the phone, and the e-mail address does not exist. I paid for a new insurance and later I tried to contact both CarJet and the insurance company, but I did not receive any answer. Do not be fooled by the price of their offer. When you pick up the car you will have unpleasant surprises.

Please do not use this company. Carjet are a complete scam.
They are a 3rd party and not a vehicle rental company.
Having paid what appears to be a competitive rate to Carjet, you will at a later date be charged almost the same figure by the actual rental company you hire the vehicle from.
They also make it impossible to contact them to complain.
I have been using carjet before But never been shafted as bad as the time

PEOPLE CARJET ORGANISED A CAR WITH TURISPRIME AT FARO AIRPORT , i got there they were shut 2 other couple also waiting were furios at 11.30am caretaker said theyve gone home for lunch and does not know when they are coming back , the place has huge white iron sliding gates for there own protection. ( now i know why )

Booked, paid and waited my holiday. A few days prior to my holiday I receive an email telling me that my booking was canceled due to no availability of cars. I was refunded. No problem so far. Searched again, same period, same car, found same supplier, but with a higher price. So... it wasn't car availability, but the renter canceled my booking to sell for a higher price.
I was expecting customers to be 'protected' by this intermediary for such scams, but no... So here is my 1 star out of 5. I'll use another company.

The worst customer service and or company I have ever dealt with don’t do it! Got there and my booking went from $95 to $ 240 dollars there’s no live person you get someone who can’t speak English thru a tv screen!! No phone number on website to call to have me shuttled to the damn car!! That I had a family emergency while I was out there and needed to extend my reservation a few hours they wouldn’t do it, wouldn’t let me speak to a manager and when they gave me the managers email it was invalid! Then I filled up drove about 6 miles to airport and they charged me 45 in missing gas r u serious? Biggest joke ever o have called the BBB in Florida and the news channel and local enforcement will be my next call! I have never experienced something so terrible in my life! Do not go thru car jet or right car!!! Stay on airport property I went to hertz next day and it was fantastic !

Don't rent car from carjet.com, its SCAM, no telephone or email, only automatic answers. We book the car in Corfu, Acharavi for two days from 10:00 hour to another day 19:00, but when I want to take car, Rental Company (Thrifty) say, that he not have a car and must be drive to the garage to clean a car and then will be return to the office. He say that car will be ready must be in 11:00 hour or longer and I can cancel the reservation. I cancel the reservation and I receive a mail, that refund will be 19,90 our (I pay for two days with better insurance 152,72 eur). I write the email, but not receive the answers.
Don't rent car from carjet.com. You not receive Your money after cancelation (for not your fault) and not receive the answer for Your request.

We took a reservation online, then we wanted to take the car. Unfortunately we have'nt not a credit card and the rent company said: "I can't give you the car!". We tried with debit card, with deposit, with a garanty. The answer was NO. Then we called carnet, nobody answered (we called them several hours).
Second day I talked with them and they didn't want to give us back the money or a voucher, or something because "the term and conditions". I lost 154 euros.
I DON'T RECOMMEND!!!

The worst renting experience ever and I don't recommend this company to anyone! It is semi criminal and provided zero quality! I rented the car from Istanbul Airport. To begin with, there is no office or counter of the company. I needed a Turkish citizen to speak to them over the phone as they spoke zero English. I was then sent to some column to wait for someone who gave me the dirtiest car with a floor covered with waste, smelling like cigarettes, dirty seats, dirty trunk. Horrible! I never knew if I had really signed an insurance contract. We had to communicate through Google translate. Horrible experience indeed.

Completely dishonest. I booked a car through them, pick up less than 48 hours later. Booking said cancellation was free of charge.
When I tried to cancel my booking one hour later (as a family member said they could pick me up), it turned out the full amount of the rental would be charged as I cancelled less than 48 hours before pick-up.
In my eyes they should therefore not have mentioned "free cancellation booking" .
Of course impossible to join anybody by phone, and no reply to my email.

2 auto's gehuurd via Carjet voor vliegveld Weeze.
Bij aankomst bleek het loket van de verhuurder gesloten en bleek dat dit verhuurbedrijf (Europcar) al maanden gesloten was en wij dus onmogelijk onze 2 bestelde auto's konden krijgen. Wel betaald, maar dus geen auto's. Moesten 1 hele dure Audi huren (laatst beschikbare) bij Sixt. Carjet beloofde het verschil tussen de huur van de 2 auto's en de dure Audi terug te betalen, na vele maanden en veel correspondentie nooit gebeurt. OPLICHTERS !

These guys are idiots. We are in a remote location in Germany, we booked a car through car jet, they processed the transaction and took our cash, then when we arrived at the store there was no cars available for us. As tourists this has really screwed up our travels, and meanwhile they still hold our cash. There was absolutely zero communication from carjet or the rental car company. Do not use these guys they are terrible

I was refused to receive the car because Global Car Rental at Krakow Airport did not accept my card (which btw I used in Austria with the same company and there was no issues). I was told that it is because I did not buy insurance in this company, just external one, and they asked me to pay extra almost 200 Euros "deposit" which is non refundable. I was ready to buy this insurance, but the guy from Global did not agree. This is unacceptable because I had all necessary documents and cards, their policy is just wrong as they are looking to make profit by not accepting certain cards and selling extra insurance, which actually is not necessary or even required by law when I have another insurance that is already covering my rental car. If I wanted to cancel my reservation, the guy from Global told me to contact CarJet and that it's too late anyways because the time of picking up the car has passed. Simply speaking - I pay 200 Euros and get a car, or don't pay, loose booking money and walk.
So in the end, it was cheaper to rent another car at the rental office right behind the wall. I have tried to get a refund from CarJet since I could not get the car because of their own unacceptable conditions, but to this date have not been able to reach Carjet to complain.
Ms. Claire Davis does not pick up the phone and there is no contact email provided. The only what you get is automatic response signed by her that they are not able to refund your money.
I will also complain to the EU consumer representations. Keep away of CarJet and Global!

I had the worst experience. I fully paid for a car in advance that the people working in the company never gave it to me. I was waiting for more than an hour for someone to explain to me the situation only to tell me I do not qualify for getting the car. I have tried to contract the company, they never pick up the phone and never answer to any of my emails. My lawyer is definitely going to take some legal action.

Simply appalling ! The web-site is cumbersome and contains confusing errors, which a little thought application could easily have remedied. I spent 2 hours trying to complete the CarJet on-line booking process (as opposed to the "3 minutes" nonsense they gleefully talk about). Having input all the details, the site takes you to the payments page, inputting my payment card details I encountered my first problem......the card "Expiry Date" field indicates a required format of "mm/yy"...well....good luck with that one ! 4 times I tried and 4 times it would only allow me to input the two digits for the expiry month, but would not accept the inputting of an expiry year; after all this time I had expended without being able to confirm the booking, I received an automated e-mail from a 'Helen' at CarJet reminding me that I still needed to complete payment. I therefore sent a reply e-mail to 'Helen' explaining the difficulties I was experiencing and requesting advice. After waiting 30 mins. for a reply, I gave up and went back in to try and complete the process again. By pure chance, I discovered that there was in fact another field box ostensibly hidden and to the right of the "mm" field box; I therefore input the "yy" and bingo ! NOTE: the required format does not follow the web-site's suggested format of "mm/yy", i.e. it requires "mm yy". Now in a lot more positive frame of mind, I was able to complete all the required payment fields et.c. and confirm the booking....but no ! I was simply taken to a blank screen which provided no confirmation or otherwise; again, I waited and waited but felt compelled to try and complete this process an additional 3 times.....to no avail. I therefore resorted to e-mailing 'Helen' once again, but after waiting another 30 mins. I gave up and asked CarJet to rescind my booking details et.c. Overall, an appalling web-site and zero customer service ! Try elsewhere !

Hired a car in Albufeira for 2 days , turned up to get car and because I never had a credit card and never have , could not get car , offered debit card with plenty to cover deposit but no ---called carjet to cancel or get help and after 2 hours wait on phone gave up---emailed carjet and phoned over next few days constantly with no answer --had to hire a car elsewhere and carjet have kept my 240 euros and for some reason don't respond to emails or answer their phone---Donald Grant

I reserved a VW T-ROC (or similar) in the carjet.com site. To get the car, I was redirected to the Sur Price agency close to Porto Airport. After registration, they brought a Dacia Sandero to me.
VW T-ROC is a premium SUV, that costs about 3 times the Sandero. T-ROC has adaptative cruise control with radar, lane assist, blind spot warning, rain sensor (turns wipers on automatically), night sensor (turns lights on automaticallly), disk breaks in all whells, dual zone air conditioner with temperature control, and a 445L trunk besides lots of other things.
A new T-ROC in Portugal starts at 28 thousand euros.
Sandero is a basic car, with no one of these features, and a 328L trunk, that was not enough to my needs.
A new Sandero can be bought by around 10 thousand euros.
They're not similar at all!
When I tried to say that something was wrong, that I reserved a car that was far from what was being delivered, the attendant started shouting at me, saying that was that car or nothing. That I was calling him a liar by saying that the car I reserved was to much different from that one. I tried to show him in the internet the differences but he didn't want even to hear me or look at the cars at the internet in my phone. He standed that I would take that car or no car at all.
I needed the car for that moment. I couldn't stay without a car. So, leaving without a car was not possible for me. On the other hand, the trunk was much smaller. So, the only option I had was paying even more to receive a Renault Clio, that was an SW with a trunk bigger than the Sandero's. But this car was even worse than the Sandero. It has no parking sensors, no Android auto, no electric rear windows, smells nicotine like hell... It's the worst car I've drove in all my life.
I tried to call carjet, but they make you stay hours listening to music on the phone. When they finally answer, they said they coud not do anything, and they transfered to Sur Price Porto, that never answered the call.
And, if they answered, probably they would keep the same position they had from the beginning: a 30 thousand car is - according to their rules - similar to a 10 thousand car...
I've rent more than 10 cars in Portugal in the last months. This one was for sure the worst, the most unrespectfull experience at all.

Last week I was on holiday in Portugal and due to a credit card issue I was unable to receive the car at the pick-up location. I had made and paid online reservation. Spoke to the employee of Carjet and she would cancel the rental and make sure I get my money back. I was supposed to be notified by email, but I haven't heard anything yet. I called Carjet today and after 45 minutes I finally got someone on the phone. She pointed out to me the conditions that I was too late with canceling and that's why I don't get a refund, then she just hangs up! What rudeness and bad customer service, when in Portugal I canceled over the phone before the rental period started and the employee would take it further. There is also no possibility to send an email and call again with a huge waiting time with the risk of being hung up again immediately. I wanted to say this to the Carjet.com that I don't think you can treat customers like this!!
