AMAZING service!
PetMeds is AMAZING! I ordered a prescription at 9:45 in the morning, and mind you, 1800PetMeds had to confirm the order with Buck's vet, and I received a shipping confirmation before 11:30 AM. The PetMeds folks should teach other businesses how to do this online/shipping/processing thing. I am impressed every single time. AND they send a treat to both my pooch and my cat even though the order is almost always for the dog. Luna totally appreciates THAT! :)

They're always 'very sorry' when they screw up
Just place an order where 1800PetMeds screw it up, and you'll find out what 'wonderful' people they are.
My order never arrived, and they say check the address (which was correct), and then 'hug your furry friends'.
They don't care at all about you or your dogs.
3/7: The order was placed Feb. 23. When I didn't receive the order, all I got was suggestions to 'call the post office' and 'are you sure the address is correct'. This is three more days arguing with them. Only when I got angry did they offer to reship it, which I did not want.
My dog needs this medicine for her syringomylia, which could kill her without proper maintenance.
Do you think I would trust them to re-ship the order, when I need it NOW?
These people are a marketing scam with terrible, terrible customer service.
I get e-mails from them constantly.
When I have a problem, they deflect and blame someone else.
Stay far, far away from this company.

I just started using them a few months ago
I just started using them a few months ago. My second prescription forr my cat was lost in the mail. It was not my fault, nor was it 1800PETMEDS' fault. (I have an unreliable, and I think dishonest weekend mailmail.) 1800PETMEDS overnighted a replacement prescription immediately. This policy does leave the company open for abuse by dishonest customers who are trying to get a free extra order, but for people like me who had a problem, it is excellent customer service. Service that is unfortunately becoming more and more rare these days.

Not from manufacturer
Just to let you all know... Pet Meds does not purchase their products/prevention from manufacturers. 1800PetMeds buy from closed down clinics/businesses. If you are purchasing heartworm prevention, be careful. Pets can still get heartworm while on prevention, rare but it happens. Purchasing through a veterinarian or an online company that buys from the manufacturer is better. If your dog turns up heartworm positive, or positive for intestinal parasites, they will usually cover treatment. I think this site is good for certain products, just not all of them. Just thought I'd share.

I've been using this site for at least a couple of...
I've been using this site for at least a couple of years. Their service has been entirely reliable and 1800PetMeds deliver (in both senses of the word) exactly what they describe. Meds always arrive on time, securely boxed regardless of how small the container might be, and they send the dog a free bone-shaped biscuit with every order as a neat final touch.

If you aren't familiar with the site, the name might put you off as it did me, initially; 1-800-anything sounds too much like one of those tacky not-available-in-stores offers. But this is the real deal and gets a rare top rating from me.

Incidentally I just noticed this is my 300th review, so I'm pleased to be able to mark that small milestone with something entirely positive, just for a change!

Horrible first experience
I tried ordering a prescription for my dog online through this company and so far it has taken two live chats with them and three phone calls to my vet and 1800PetMeds STILL haven't shipped the order. I have the prescription in hand that I can fax but they won't accept it - I would have to mail it and wait 7-10 days for it to be processed. This medication is my dog's last hope - if he doesn't improve on it he will have to be euthanized so it is IMPERATIVE that he start it immediately. Their archaic system of obtaining prescriptions and order processing has to be updated as dogs' lives are quite literally dependent on getting their prescriptions filled in a timely manner.

Quick communication and rush order
I am a returning customer who buys mostly insulin supplies for my cat Blink. I recently misjudged how much insulin I had left and had to re-order in a hurry so Blink wouldn't have to miss a shot. After placing my order, I wrote an email to 1800PetMeds and expressed my concern that the order be approved by my vet and get here as quickly as possible. 1800PetMeds wrote back within minutes and assured me that they had already contacted my vet and the order was being processed. Less than two hours later my order was processing for shipment, and I received it early the next day. Great response time and turnaround, thank you!

I was planning on purchasing from 1800petmeds.com but...
I was planning on purchasing from 1800petmeds.com but I have to mail in my prescription instead of them calling my vet, as 1800PetMeds don't give phone authorizations. I didn't see the mail in option when checking out so I did not complete the order. I never created an account, I never okayed any forms allowing them to create or store anything, I simply started a transaction and then did not complete it. Now when I visit the site, I see "Welcome [my name]!" and a link to My Account on the top of the page. I wrote to customer service and asked them to remove all of my information, explaining all of this. I got a generic reply apologizing for my not being able to complete the order. I wrote back and explained that this was not my complaint, that I was asking them to remove my info. I got a reply that this had been done. It was not, and all of my info was still on the site. I replied again, asking them to please remove my info, that I never authorized them to store it or create any account with it. Again, I got a reply that they did delete it. Again, it was a lie. I tried to change the info in the My Account area but what I was able to change was limited. The site still says my name on top. I don't see how this is acceptable behavior for such a well known company. I have asked for the FOURTH time that they remove ALL of my information, but I don't have high hopes that this will occur. I'm so very relieved that I didn't order from 1800petmeds because who knows what they would have done with my credit card and other information I would have entered during the checkout process. I find this company to be blatant liars and completely untrustworthy. Stay away.

I have ordered from this site for over a decade
I have ordered from this site for over a decade - various dog needs; but have never order from their pharmacy until last month. I have place two orders now in the last couple of weeks with their pharmacy and their service is awful. 1800PetMeds blame the vet office for poor communication and both times after a lot of phone calls and research I find for sure that it is 1800PetMeds... and on top of that they argued and argued about their mistake. Dog meds are important. Receiving them in a timely way is important as we all know. So don't use this source for pet meds.

BAD EXPERIENCE
1800PetMeds take forever to put the order through, forever to contact the vet, forever after the vet clears you to make the purchase, forever after that to notify you of order. Goodness, I cannot even imagine what the shipping process is going to be like. They do not accept rebates the final straw was how rude and snappy the customer service lady was for NO reason at all. Very unsatisfied. I will not use them again.

Don't bother paying extra for shipping

I ordered before the cut off time on the 31st so I should've received my meds on the first. 1800PetMeds DID NOT contact my vet until the next day. And they even said that to me on the phone the next day. And I had to be the one to make sure they sent the email to my vet and that didn't even happen for an additional 3hrs! I mean luckily my vet was quick to reply so I could even get my meds before the cutoff time on the 1st since as I said it took 3hrs for that email to go through.

I would not recommend using this website over others. I placed an order for arthritis meds for my dog, and two days later got an email saying 1800PetMeds need more information regarding the order. I had to ask what they needed, (it being the CVV2 code on the credit card) and they stated that they can only ship to the billing address of the card. Which I have never been told before.

Best of the best!
I am EXTREMELY satisfied with the competence and prices of this company. I usually dont write reviews, but 1800petmeds has not even once disappointed me! HIGHLY HIGHLY recommended! Finding the medicine for my dog and ordering its a breeze! It is so convenient that 1800PetMeds even contact your vet for you to verify the prescription! One less hassle! In addition, they are on top of your order all the time... meaning even if your vet place is closed, they will notify you through email AND phone about the status of your order. Again... they do go the extra mile for the customer! And when you order, even if you were able to get free shipping, they will send your very fast and promptly! Tip: Always try to look online for coupon codes if you want an extra discount, besides the already low prices that they offer;)

Dishonest pricing
I did a google search for Galliprant pet meds and on the right side of my screen, it advertises a 60mg, 90 count bottle for $77.99 from 1-800-petmeds. It also says "price drop, was $179". I click on it to order and the price almost tripled to over $200! I call the number and 1800PetMeds say, we don't see what you are looking at, the price is $204 and is on sale for $198. What a rip off. They should honor their prices advertised. Won't be shopping here.

LOVE THIS COMPANY!
I've tried a few other online pet pharmacies, and 1800PetMeds it the best! My dog has arthritis. I have found two places that were slightly cheaper, but NONE are as reliable. I order, and 3 business days later it is here. Never a problem- both other cheaper pharmacies were nightmares to deal with. Twice I was overcharged and meds were delayed. I will never ever ever try anyone else!

I really love this website
I really love this website. It's so much easier to just order here and get the supplies you need for your pets in one fell swoop. Their prices are good, in fact, a bit lower than most large Pet Store chains and 1800PetMeds have specialty products that you can't usually find at the stores.

One great thing is that the prescription medications you need for your pest are much cheaper here than if you were to buy the medicine at your local vet. You do need a pet prescription for some. Usually I will ask for the prescription from my vet and the vet sometimes lowers their prices to match 1800petmeds.

All in all, it is a fun place to shop if you are a pet owner/lover.

As a veterinarian, I recommend staying away from 1800petmeds. I have been contacted numerous times in the last couple months to authorize prescriptions for patients I have never seen belonging to clients I have never had contact with. I have asked my information be removed multiple times, yet I am still been contacted. If a pharmacy cannot even get the right Doctor, I have zero confidence in their ability to accurately fill a prescription.

First and last time! Awful experience
Placed an order for two Braveto chews for my dog! A six month supply with a prescription from my vet. I received a pack containing one chew (a three month supply) I emailed over and over and received the same response stating that my order was for one chew supply, I can pull up my order and clearly see it was a six month supply, 1800PetMeds say the prescription was only three month supply, I know it wasn't and my vet confirmed it wasn't. I should have listened to my vet, they told me not to use this company stating that had ethical problems

I used them for years when my late, great Labrador...
I used them for years when my late, great Labrador was still alive and 1800PetMeds were the best. Right before he had to take the Big Sleep, I had just ordered his joint supplements and they arrived afterwards. I emailed them to let them know what had happened and they gave me a refund and insisted that I donate the supplements to someone else rather than bother with returning them. I will use them for things I may need in the future with no qualms whatsoever.

Great site
I've always had a positive experience with this site. The only problem I've had really is on my vet's end with being lazy, and responding in any sort of reasonable amount of time.

But the website seems great and most definitely cheaper than what the vet charges. Delivery is always super fast, whenever your lazy vet gets around to responding.

I love this site. Good place to get reviews of non-rx things too. I highly recommend it. Had an account for many years. Customer service is outstanding, never had one single problem with this company.

The company that doesn't care about pets health
I have previously written about these dreadful business that fails to answer emails, orders or otherwise.
In Australia 1800PetMeds would be closed down.
I placed an order with them on 25. 11. 15, my vet emailed the script on the same day (which has been done for previous orders) I have given my credit card details, had a confirmation they would fill the order and nothing since notwithstanding no less than 8 emails to them which they have read as I required a delivery and read receipt. Now placed my order with a reputable business

Order didn't ship, company didn't notify me
I ordered "pet steps" for my elderly mother's dog. After 40 days with no delivery / no communication, I called the toll free number and was told my order could not ship, because my credit card billing address did not match, my shipping address... Really, and were you going to every contact me about this?

(I don't live with my mom... don't even live in the same state).

I asked for some sort of solution... could I pay via another method? Could I e-mail them a copy of my drivers license?... no, there is no solution.

I asked to speak to a manager and that never happened. What terrible customer service - 1800PetMeds should send my mother the stairs FREE just for the total botch job of this order... we're living in the electronic age - there are secure ways to collect payments and allow items to ship to alternative addresses - look at Amazon, eBay, and a million other companies.

Waste of a month!

Fenris Loves It
I bought these tablets for my 8 month old Great Dane, Fenris. He is a handful and growing very fast. If you know much about Great Danes you know how fast 1800PetMeds grow. As he is my 2nd Great Dane I am concerned with his joint health also. I purchased these tablets as a preventative for joint health problems. I do have to say that Fenris absolutely loves them. I have even used them as a once a day treat to teach him to shake and sit. He looks forward to them every day. When I shake that bottle he knows what time it is.

Medication promised but not delivered
I called Petmeds to order a prescription on Monday morning. I told the woman my dog had enough pills for 3 days and was told I would receive the meds within 1 day of shipment since I lived close to their warehouse. I was also told I would receive an email when 1800PetMeds shipped. I never did. I called them back on Thurs to see what happened to my order since I don't have any meds left. Was told they are going out that day via next day delivery. I didn't receive them so I called again on Friday and was told they are in the process of shipping but wouldn't receive them until Monday. This woman said she would make a special order to ship out overnight for Saturday delivery. It is Sat evening and no meds. I called Petmeds again & was told there was no special order. My order was still showing Monday delivery. Meanwhile, my dog is out of her steroid pills. The discount cost is not worth the it. I will only buy through my vet from here on ifor her meds. This is the worst!

Failed to communicate
I ordered my dog's meds and even ordered the overnight shipping so he would get them in plenty of time. After a week I contacted them to find out where my order was and 1800PetMeds said my vet needed to speak with me before authorizing the meds, except they never conveyed this message to me. So my dog is out of his necessary meds and they never offered to try and fix this or contact the vet or try to expedite my order. Do not use this company.

On Friday morning I ordered some Tramadol for my dog...
On Friday morning I ordered some Tramadol for my dog Chaka-Tu. I talked to a representative at 1800 PetMeds, and 1800PetMeds said they would fax my vet and ask for a prescription. When I didn't hear anything more, I called 1800 PetMeds on Sat. Morning and was told that a fax had been sent but no answer had been received. They said they would ask the Pharmacy section to send another fax.
Subsequently, I called my vet and they said no faxes had been received. After about an hour on the phone first with my vet, then with the 1800 representative, and finally with both at the same time, the issue was finally resolved; although I understand that my prescription will not be sent out until Monday. I complained to 1800 PetMeds and found there policy is to wait 24 hours before even sending a second fax unless the customer makes a follow up call. Apparently, they never try and initiate direct contact with the vet, or even with the customer making the order. In addition, the person taking the order at 1800 PetMeds is not the person contacting the vet. Perhaps some of the problem is poor communication between 1800 PetMeds order takers and their Pharmacy department. 1800 Pet Meds also said that since Tramadol is a controlled substance the required information such as driver liscense number was an issue. However, I had provided all of the necessary information to 1800 PetMeds initally when I placed the order, so I don't see how that was in issue. When 1800 PetMeds says they sent two faxes, and the vet says they received none, the customer is caught in the middle, and 1800 PetMeds simply didn't display the sense of urgency in solving the problem that I felt was necessary.

I love 1800petmeds!
I love 1800petmeds! I've ordered several different types of medicine and shampoo for my allergy prone puggle and everything arrives quickly. Most of the time I get free shipping (if you spend over $39, it's free I believe!) and the package is well-sealed with a cute dog biscuit inside. 1800PetMeds regularly send me coupon codes for $5 off here and there. Recently had an issue with my vet not approving a prescription. Once I spoke with my vet, I called 1800petmeds for the first time, as I normally just order online. I didn't have to wait on hold, and Ed was friendly, helpful, and efficient at solving my issue. When was the last time you had *that* kind of customer service?! Thanks, Ed and 1800petmeds. You guys rock my socks. (Winston says thank you as well!)

I had a wonderful experience using 1800petmeds.
I recently order Heartguard for the first time from 1800petmeds on 06/08/17. This medication requires a prescription from my dogs veterinarian. I received an e-mail on 06/10/17 which provided an update on my shipment status. In this e-mail I was informed that 1800PetMeds were still waiting for a reply from my veterinarian. A couple of hours later I received an e-mail stating the prescription was received and my order had been shipped. I received the medication on 06/12/17. I will definitely use this company again, and I would recommend 1800petmeds to others. Not only do they have great discounts but they also did a great job getting the medication to me.

What happened to this company
I have used this company many times over the years and had good service. The last two times, 1800PetMeds sort of forgot to send my order. Apparently, they think refunding the amount of expedited shipping makes it OK. No. Additionally, if you want confirmation and shipping emails, you have to agree to all of their spam emails. This is my last order from them. There are plenty of other companies who do this.

AVOID 1800PETMEDS OR GET SCAMMED
This company guaranteed 5 day shipping to Canada and I paid $15 for this as I needed pet medication urgently. After 20 days of calling up and enquiring as to where it was, I found out 1800PetMeds had incorrectly sent it to Australia for no apparent reason at all, and despite my receipt/all my details clearly showing shipping address in Canada. No one had told me this on the many other times I called (when they told me it was 'on its way to Canada' and no apologies in the end. Totally incompetent. Use the word 5 day delivery guarantee as a scam to get you to purchase when they do not even have stock on hand and make you wait up to 20 days or longer. This business would never survive in a real world setting but they think they can continue to operate like this online + maintain a reputation, good luck with that!

This place is a total joke and Im seriously considering exercising my consumer rights if I don't get a refund in 5 days. I will also make sure any potential customer of this company is aware of their reputation and the way that they operate. FYI Petmeds, some of your customers are lawyers and know their legal rights...
