Scammed
First, I had in the notes of the order for the installer to bring extra connectors. Then when the delivery of the battery was made, they sent 2 batteries, one was mine and another for someone else. Also had the packing slips which actually showed the wholesale price. Big difference in what real cost was to what I actually paid. Then when the installer showed up, he wasn't happy. And he had to connector parts to install the battery. He said we don't do that. Then he said that is a mechanics job. Now I had to get a mechanic to finish the job, another $100. Very disappointed in this company and employees.

Life Saver for me!
I ordered service on Sunday afternoon and I wasn't sure if they would be out on Sunday or not. The phone line states they are busy w/ other customers, but they never answer.
The Good News, they did respond early Monday and were here at my home by 10 am. Battery was installed and my car works! I have to say, I am very happy with their service!

Be very careful with this company. It recommended the wrong battery for my car on the website. The technician explained that a less expensive battery was needed for my Honda. While the technician is still changing batter, I received an invoice from 1-800-Battery with the charge for the more expensive battery. I contacted the company and explained the situation. Within minutes I received an updated invoice with the correct battery listed and the costs. However, when I received my credit card statement 3 weeks later, I was charged for the more expensive battery. I contacted 1-800-Battery to report the elevated charge. I was told that I would not receive a refund for 7-10 days. Why?? I will not do business with this company ever again. Very sloppy bookwork.

I am baffled, bamboozled, bewildered. My car battery was completely dead and I scheduled an appointment to receive a replacement. The technician was scheduled to arrive between 9-11 am. After multiple messages and phone calls to customer service (and being told several times the technician was “at the appointment ahead of mine”) the technician arrived at 5 pm and completed the job in…12 minutes.
I feel I am a reasonable person and understand that things happen, but the technician arriving SIX HOURS after the end of the scheduled time frame is completely unacceptable and unprofessional. I missed an appointment and was also unable to pick up my animals from the vet (resulting in me having to board them an for extra night, spending extra money). I asked for another technician and was told he was the only one working today and that he was “not the most reliable to be honest”. I saved a screenshot of this because my brother in Christ, why are you talking about other employees this way to your customers?
I specifically chose the morning 9-11 time because I had places I needed to be, though assuming I’d be able to be on my way by noon was a far off dream apparently. I lost an entire day waiting on the technician to arrive because I couldn’t use my vehicle. Why bother offering appointment times if they won’t be honored? Literally may as well write “we’ll arrive at some point (probably) could be any time between 8 am and 6 pm” instead of offering appointment times. Absolutely insane. Don’t use this company :)

My vehicle began to vibrate & make rattling noises after I had a battery installed by a 1-800-Battery technician. I reported these issues to 1-800-Battery the next day after I had driven my vehicle & noticed that a push rivet was missing from the battery containment area. I was told a technician would come back out the next day to check on the battery. No one came out the next day or bothered to call me to reschedule. The following day I called again & spoke with a person named Walter, who told me that no one had come out before because I hadn't left a credit card number. I told him no one had asked me for a credit card number during the previous call. After giving my credit card information & discussing possible new charges, I was told a technician would be out the next day. Again, no one showed up or bothered to call me to reschedule. The following day I took my vehicle to an auto repair shop to have the battery checked & was told the positive battery terminal was loose. The auto body repairman also asked me who had installed the new battery because he claimed whoever did it had secured it improperly. I was also missing not one, but two push rivets from the battery containment area. The loose battery terminal was tightened properly, as was everything else surrounding the new battery. He also offered to replace the missing push rivets, but unfortunately, didn't have the right size for my make of vehicle & suggested I try to find some at an auto parts store. I haven't been able to find the correct-size rivets yet, so I'll have to make a special trip to a dealership to try to find some. I finally heard back from 1-800-Battery by text a day after taking my vehicle to the auto body shop. The text said a technician was on his way. I immediately called 1-800-Battery & spoke with a person named Travis. I canceled this service & I also expressed to him how frustrated & disappointed I was with the service I had received. Travis said he was sorry, but never offered to make things right. The least he could have done was to offer to replace the missing rivets, which weren't missing before the new battery was put in. I will not use your company again & do not recommend it to anyone else.

I think that 1 800 batteries is a rip off, comma I purchased a purchased a die hard battery art battery 3 warranty, The guy shows up with an ever start.. Which is not as good as the die hard, It is a 3 year warranty sources that they can buy whatever they want to match the warranty.. You said it has the same cranking apps and everything else blah blah blah, comma didn't have a terminal cleaner, he's the owner operator, With lettering and all over his ran thinking you would have a little more one more compassion and pride in your work. The 1 in the heart of bad repeat people that you chat with are jerks, they don't care they have a bad attitude . I can't wait for my battery to die in a year and see what they're gonna do because this is gonna go to the States Attorney General's office office cause I'm ripping people off charging for batteries that don't cost what they are showing online I'm lying. And buying cheaper batteries and charging the same price.. $320.00 for a 3 year battery. If customer service is nice I could let it go but they are just don't care . So on my warranties up happy trails I hope you get wrapped up in some kind of mess for ripping people off when people off and I'll be in on the lawsuit that will happen and get my money back, go to Walmart garage don't come and do it for the same price . And at least you know what you're gonna get and where they're at.

PLACED ORDER AT 1153 A.M. ONLINE AND WAS GIVEN A 2 HOUR 20 MINUTE WINDOW. MY CARD WAS CHARGED IMMEDIATELY. 3 HOURS GOES BY. CONTACTED THEM VIA CHAT FEATURE ONLINE. BEYOND RUDE, BY FAR ONE THE RUDEST PEOPLE I HAVE EVER COME ACROSS. WHEN I MENTIONED IT HAD BEEN 3 HOURS, THE CUSTOMER SERVICE REP SAID OOPS WE SHOULD HAVE REACHED OUT EARLIER BECAUSE THE TECH IS NOT RESPONDING TO YOUR ORDER. I ASKED TO HAVE AN OWNER AND/OR MANAGER GET A HOLD OF ME AND THE RESPONSE WAS NO! DUE TO EVRYONE HAVING COVID. I ASKED FOR MY MONEY TO BE RETURNED AND PROOF EMAILED TO ME. WAS TOLD THEY NEVER RAN THE CARD, BUT MY C.C COMPANY SAID IT WAS RUN. GOT AN EMAIL SAYING THE ORDER WAS CANCELLED. HAD TO BOOK ANOTHER COMPANY TO COME OUT, WHICH THEY DID FOR ALMOST $100 CHEAPER AND SUPER FRIENDLY. THE NEXT DAY, WHILE IM IN LINE AT THE GROCERY STORE, 1800 BATTERY CALLS AND TEXTS. I DECLINED THE CALLED AND RESPONDED TO THE TEXT, STATING THE ORDER HAD BEEN CANCELLED 24 HRS PRIOR. GOT A VERY NASTY RESPONSE FROM THE TECH.
DO NOT, FOR ANY REASON USE THIS COMPANY. THEY WILL CHARGE YOUR CARD, LIE ABOUT IT AND NOT SEND ANYONE OR SEND SOMEONE A DAY AFTER YOU NEEDED THEM. I MISSED AN APPOINTMENT WAITING ON THIS COMPANY. THEY DESERVE ZERO STARS.

Just overall a 1st quality job. From the online ordering process, to order status updates, to final parts product quality, to service appointment time and service delivery, all were A level quality. In particular, my service mechanic did a wonderful job...beyond expectations. My job turned out to be a major headache with unknown twists and turns. Yet he stuck with it, managed through the headache, twists and turns, and finished the job. He finished every little bit and did it with the utmost care to my vehicle. Things that I would have skipped. I cant be more pleased and satisfied with the overall service!!!

In the end my truck is running and the battery is swapped. However, there was a lot of stress involved as my vehicle is pricey ($80,000) and has a lot of electronics. The technician (while a very nice albeit introverted guy) admitted he had never changed the battery in my model/vehicle before and mentioned perhaps needing to watch a YouTube video of how to perform the swap? Red alert. He also unfortunately showed up with the wrong battery which he only realized AFTER taking everything apart. I regretted my decision to not just go to my dealer for the service immediately. In the end after going back to the auto parts store for the correct battery, he did manage to figure it out and all is well - my battery is swapped and everything seems to work. But i will probably just go to my dealer in the future. The customer service folks were as helpful as they could be.

They don't communicate!! I placed my order and waited then decided to chat with CS. It took 45 before there CS rep responded. I asked for an ETA. It went pass that timeframe do I reached out to chat again and the CS rep that I have an 8am appt the next day. Next day and nothing. No text about order no text from delivery person. I called and sent another message through chat. Waited again until 9:30 and nothing. They finally responded by asking me my order #. THEN told me it would be at least another 2 hours. I just told them to cancel and release the authorization hold in full! It was such a waste of time and energy. I have a stressful job and I get 1 day off a week and a good part was wasted on this company!!!

A funny thing. I had a dead battery and there was no place in the owner's manual that said my battery was located in the trunk. I found 1-800- Battery and they had the location of the battery on their website. That's efficiency! Since the battery was totally dead, the key freezes in the ignition, and cannot be removed. Also, the key fobs no longer work, so I cannot even access the trunk because, in today's world, you cannot open the trunk with a key. Isn't that special. I called 1-800-Battery and technician Rob came out the very next day, worked his magic and put in the new battery. Awesome dude, good at gis job. Wonderful service. Many thanks for the rescue.

Made the appointment on line and selected the battery for my MB CLA250. I was told the installer would be at my home before noon and would be coming from Milwaukee as a Chicago based employee was on vacation. After a number of calls the technician arrived at 7:30 pm with not the battery type I selected on line but with one that was not suitable for my car.
The technician bought the correct one locally and installed it. The technician was a very nice man and I felt sorry for him. 188 battery promised the battery would be installed that da and it was. That is why I gave them 4 stars. Stuff happens no point in getting upset and I did have things to do around the house.

This company LIED to me! I requested a battery replacement. The car was located in my home garage. I was quoted a price for their service and made payment via credit card. After charging my credit card, the company notified me an hour later that there would be a $75 installation up charge. The representative NEVER mentioned this additional charge when I spoke with them via telephone....bait and switch. I was then notified of when the technician would arrive...12:00pm. The technician showed up at 3:30pm...over three hours late! To change the battery, the rear wheel must be removed. The company advised me that they were very experienced at changing a battery on this car. Upon arrival, the technician could NOT figure out how to remove the rear wheel cap to expose the tire bolts. He then said, "This is too much liability for the company. I'm leaving." He packed up his tools, and drove off without saying a word. Outrageous! Imagine not being able to figure out how to remove the tire....how in the world was he going to figure out how to remove/replace the batter? My next door neighbor was watching this mess and came over. Right after the technician drove off, my neighbor took a screw driver and within 5 seconds popped off the wheel cap. In less then an hour, my neighbor changed the battery...I paid him for the service versus this company. You've been warned.

The representative that I spoke to and placed the order with told me he would send a 900amp hour battery, but it was a 760. He said he had two available to fit my car, and that he would send the larger capacity one. The installer, when he arrived, had no idea about this. Also, the invoice says nothing about what battery was installed, nor anything about a warranty. The installer told me I had a 3 year warranty, but there was nothing in writing about it. I paid about $100 more for them coming out to install it, and I was willing to do that, but I think everybody needs to be on the same page, and that when someone says you are going to receive x, you should receive x. But what came was a DieHard Platinum, which is a good battery. Yet it does not say on the invoice anywhere what kind of battery was used. The installer was very good. He knew what he was doing, and had the proper test equipment on hand. That part of it I am happy with. The rest of the transaction, not so happy.

BUYER BEWARE! THIS COMPANY OVERCHARGED ME BY $185.42.
On April 21, 2022, I called 1-800-Battery because the dead battery in my camper van was not responding to my small portable jump starter. I discussed with the agent—who said his name was “Jose” and that he was located in California—the prices of replacement batteries and decided on the middle grade, for a total price of $292.77, including installation.
"Jose" told me that a local technician would first test to see if the battery could be jumped before replacing it. If so, he said, the only charge would be $99 plus tax, or $107.35, not $292.77 for a battery replacement. "Jose" assured me that nothing would be charged on my credit card until the service was finished and the final price known. I gave him my credit card #.
The local tech showed up as promised and successfully jumped the battery. He confirmed that my charge would be $99 plus tax, for a total of $107.35.
I would have been delighted with 1-800-Battery if the story had ended there.
Unfortunately, I soon discovered that the full amount of $292.77 had been charged to my MasterCard. I called the same number and again reached “Jose” in California. He apologized and said he would correct the charge that very day. But nothing ever changed.
I contested the overcharge with MC. But since the transaction was all verbal over the phone, I could not provide any written documentation of what had been promised and delivered.
So I have been forced to pay MC the entire $292.77 rather than the $107.35 for service actually delivered.
Over the last two months, I've repeatedly contacted 1-800-Battery, but after an initial promise to "escalate" my complaint to corporate higher-ups, no meaningful response has come.
They did send me one more email asking for my order number, which I couldn't provide because "Jose" never gave it to me. But I provided the precise address where the local tech had come to service my van on that date and suggested that they look up the order in their records, based on that address or my name, phone #, credit card #, etc.
1-800-Battery never replied to me again.
I've given 1-800-Battery plenty of time to make good on "Jose's" promise to adjust the inaccurate charge, so I'm posting this warning so others may not make the same mistake.
If this stonewalling is an intentional deception by 1-800-Battery, it is a major breach of ethics, not to mention a terrible way to treat a customer.
If 1-800-Battery is an honest company, it owes me a refund of $185.42.
I intend to warn my many friends who are van campers. CAVEAT EMPTOR.

I ordered a DieHard Gold replacement battery from 1-800 Battery in the morning and received a call from provider Lightning Roadside, Plainview NY in about an hour.
I was told someone would come between 1-3 PM to replace battery, which was fine. Sometime after 2 PM I received a follow up call to tell me the tech was in the area finishing another job and would be here shortly.
The tech then called me directly to say he was on his way and would be here in ten minutes, which was around 2:30 PM.
When he arrived, I noticed he brought an Oxide battery, not a DieHard and I explained that wasn't what I ordered. He contacted his office to tell them there was an issue with order so they could straighten it out.
Apparently, there was some disconnect between 1-800 Battery and this provider, so it was not their fault.
The tech, Joe, then left but said he would contact me later. Within a short period of time Joe called again to say he was retrieving the correct battery and would be back in 30 minutes.
He arrived as promised and installed the correct battery in my car.
In spite of the mix up I felt the company and Joe, the tech, did an excellent job.

The battery that was sold and installed for me on 9/28/21 went out not even a year after purchase. When the technician came to replace it, he did not complete the installation. He did not connect the battery to the car, instead he simply placed the battery in the car. The next day while out running errands, the car wouldn’t start. I had to call roadside assistance for a jump which is when we discovered that the battery was never installed. When I called the company back to get assistance, I was met with horrible customer service. They didn’t not even bat and eye at my compliant. They also refused to get someone out to install the battery. The representative told me that no one would be out to reinstall the battery until the next day. When I asked to speak to a manager, he stated that they were too busy to speak with me. This is by far the worst customer service I have ever received. I will not be returning.

I called around 7pm on Wednesday and was on hold for 30 mins. I hung up and did a chat and no one responded. Called again on hold 15 mins decided to use the text option while still on hold and no response. I was browsing the site trying to find answers to questions I had about the purchase process, warranty, battery sizes etc. all while STILL on hold. After 45mins. I decided to take a chance, make the purchase and set an installment appointment for the next day. I made it for 9-11am and patiently waited. Thankfully I was at home and not stranded. Thursday morning received a text from them apologizing and asking if I still needed info. I said no, made the battery purchase and waiting for the Tech. I was then told the Tech wouldn't arrive until an hour after my appointment. I asked why did I make an appointment if he wasn't going to be on time? I was told delays happen and that's why a window is given (even though it's past my window). I said I would have appreciated some type of notification beforehand; no response back. Nonetheless, at the least I was able to track the Tech's location. I'm thinking I've already paid for the battery and can't reach customer service? Is this a scam? Thankfully the Tech showed up around 11:30 and apologized for the confusion. He had another appointment scheduled for the same time as mine but didn't see mine until 10. He contacted the office to let them know and that's why I received the text from them. As for the battery replacement, he did a great job. The install probably took 30 mins max. Eric B. walked me through the process and even had equipment to connect to my car to keep from losing my data. That was a major concern for me because I thought I would need the dealership to reprogram. He checked the battery voltage and the alternator reading making sure everything was working fine. Overall I was pleased with the process. I found them by doing a search for a battery and thought is this for real? You can order a battery online, schedule delivery and they can install all for one price? I didn't appreciate not being able to connect with customer service the day I needed them. They are based out of California so there is a 3 hour time difference but that was unacceptable for me. I gave 3 stars for communication but I have to give 5 for the ease of ordering, delivery and install. Thanks again Eric!

The technician who came out to replace my battery was very professional. He did great. My negative experience was not his fault. However, the customer service department needs some work. I scheduled my installation that morning online for same-day that afternoon from 1-3pm. I contacted customer service at 130pm via chat to inquire when the tech will be there, and the agent said between 2-3pm. I then get a voicemail at 2:30pm stating the tech is out of town and needs to reschedule for tomorrow morning. Huh??? I had no choice but to accept, so I called back to reschedule and also complain, and the agent hung up on me. I should have been contacted much earlier in the day to be notified a tech was out of town. Terrible customer service. I could have just gone down to Auto-zone myself and bought a battery, and had them install it on sight in less time - and money. I paid your ridiculous overpriced fee for the convenience and speed - and your company did not deliver.

First time user. No phone call at 1 hour and 50 minutes into my 2 hour service window. I called in, they were not able to reach their technician. waited another 50 minutes, I called in, still no word from the technician. waited 30 minutes and called in again. Just cancelled the service.
Sum it up. Reliability is absent. They never called me to tell me they would be late, and when I pressed them to get the work done today, they will not guarantee that the battery will be installed today. My 2 hour window was 1100 to 1300. Waist of my time. Do not recommend them if you are expecting them to get the job done as scheduled or in a timely manner.

Our battery died in a restaurant parking lot. Little did I know that you have to dismantle the vehicle to get the battery out of our Ford Escape. The windshield wipers (!) have to come out, asking other things.
I went to the 1-800-Battery website and quickly made an appointment. The earliest they could come was going to be 1.5-2 hours, so we got a ride home.
The tech got there before we could get back and very kindly waited for us. He knew exactly how to get the battery out and very quickly got us back in the road. Very quickly considering the amount of work required.
Our technician was friendly, knowledgeable, and respectful of our vehicle.
Overall, in the same circumstances, I would call them again.

I spoke with Al initially. He was helpful. An appointment was set up for 10:00 - 11:00 the next morning. The install tech said he was running late and would make it as soon as possible.. After some time I called and he said he has been dispatched to other appointments "the other appointments have been waiting" . He advised me to go home and wait for his call. I received a call to meet him "he was on his way". When he showed up, he presented two batteries that were too small to effectively start the diesel. He insisted these batteries were "ok". I know the correct battery and this was not it. He called in his manager told him to install the incorrect battery. Wasted day. I checked in with Al, he said a refund would be processed. As of now I have not received a refund.
